At its core, Lyra features a revolutionary DAMSTIF™ enclosure—essentially a two-piece monocoque structure without fasteners or joins. After precision casting and five-axis CNC machining, interlocking aluminum shells are filled with over 150 lb of high-mass, high-hysteresis damping compound. As a result, any microscopic vibration is sheared internally, virtually eliminating cabinet resonance.

Therefore, Lyra achieves an exceptionally low noise floor—among the quietest ever in production speakers. At the same time, its sculpted form reduces diffraction, while the rigid housing ensures ideal driver positioning and acoustic coherence.

Advanced 3½-Way, Five-Driver System

Lyra utilizes a groundbreaking 3½-way design with five bespoke drivers, all developed in-house by Rockport Technologies:

• Dual 10″ woofers: Carbon-fiber sandwich composite cones driven by massive 3″ motor systems deliver deep, authoritative first-octave bass—yet they remain fast and precise.

• Dual 6″ midranges: These carbon-fiber cones offer a nearly six-octave usable range, ultra-low distortion, and raw midrange power. Significantly, they work in tandem in the lower register before handing off to a single mid unit.

• 1″ waveguide-mounted beryllium tweeter: Enhanced with a waveguide design, this tweeter ensures smooth crossover, wide dispersion, and lower distortion—while also achieving a beautiful, polished look.

By effectively doubling midrange surface area in the lower octaves and then transitioning to a single, coherently timed driver, Lyra delivers unmatched midrange authority and presence.

Sculpted for Sound and Space

Despite its technical complexity, Lyra remains visually striking. Its outer profile is a testament to CNC precision—designed to optimize acoustic delivery—and refined by subtle curves and machined finishes.

Physically, Lyra measures 53.5″ H × 14.1″ W × 26.5″ D, and weighs an impressive 560 lb per speaker. Nevertheless, it integrates gracefully into dedicated listening spaces or stately living rooms.

Powerful, Natural Bass & Extended Frequency

The bass performance of Lyra starts at 20 Hz and extends up to 30 kHz (–3 dB). Accordingly, it provides authoritative, tight low-frequency impact without any boom or coloration. The impressive sensitivity of 90 dB (2.83 V/1m), combined with a nominal 4 Ω impedance and a modest minimum amplifier recommendation of 30 W, ensures dynamic ease across a wide range of high-quality amps.
